About

Think Pink Radio started in September 2003 as Chicago’s only all-music radio show for the queer community on WLUW 88.7 fm with hosts Erik Roldan and Ali McDonald. A radio show that focuses on music made by the queer community is rare, and we are so lucky to be able to do this in such a cool city. You can hear the show every Tuesday evening from 6-8pm (CST) either on a terrestrial signal or stream it live from www.wluw.org. So much has changed since we started–Ali became Reaganomix and left the show in June 2006, Ruth Batacan joined in early 2007, and Erik decided to expand the show into a blog.

These days, anything you do must have an online presence if you want to reach people. This site is an extension of the radio show and is augmented by other queers with experience that isn’t just music. We hope to educate, inform and entertain queers all over the world with posts that echo our collective sigh.

Please send all questions, comments or suggestions to thinkpinkradio at gmail.com!

  3. Erik, I heard teh show last night and afternoon. I think you referred seven times to being laid off. What were you doing (other than the show)? Should we sympathize or simply wait until facebook or whatever it is?
