On Sunday, the Obama endorsing paper had an article about the increasing hatred and violence towards gays in Jamaica. I’ve always heard about how unwelcome we are over there, but this article makes it sound as bad as some parts of the middle east. Violence at funerals, unprosecuted hate crimes, illegality of homosexuality, it’s all there. Makes you think twice about vacation destinations, even the country’s travel websites will tell you it’s not okay.
