New blog buddy and fellow gayspanic Rudy Bleu is a self described “fat queer Mexican punk rock boy.” I was trolling around looking for stuff (just for you, of course) and found a photo I really like on his blog. Sean M Johnson is an artist studying and living in Boston. His photos, and this one in particular (from his “Boyhood Play” series), create an unknown space for gay sex, where you might accidentally feel or get a boner. His website is filled with images that celebrate body hair and tenderness among men, a refreshing take on gay culture. Surely a bitchy, waxed, tan, scary mary is part of our community, but you don’t see pale, pudgy, hairy men’s bodies on screens or in mainstream gay clubs.
