Queercore enthusiasts know Rachel Carns by her turns in band like the Need, King Cobra and TWIN. I saw her perform with The Need opening for Rasputina and her energy was undeniable. Her beats were the rhythm to the guitarist’s brutal lashings, and it’s been since then that I’ve seen a two piece bring that kind of assualt. We are all happy that she’s survived, she’s now hoping that fans can alleviate some of the debt that incurs by making a donation from the Need’s sight here.
