I have been really resistant to the Dresden Dolls. As hot as the drummer is, they are just so dramatic, and I am not a teenage nelly-goth (anymore). This song, “Oasis,” from Amanda Palmer’s solo album, Who Killed Amanda Palmer, is not less dramatic, but the narrative hits home – I know some ladies that this kind of shit has happened to. The video along with Palmer’s delivery just make it accessible, light, and sparks dialogue. LOVE IT, points for the out bi-girl, more since she dedicated it to Sarah Palin.
