Guiding Light’s Otalia…Finally!

April 22, 2009

How fantabulous was it to watch Olivia admit her love, then to have Natalia run off on Frank and then to have Otalia find each other at the gazebo, where Natalia finally admitted her love to Olivia?! Watching this organic relationship come to fruition was well worth the wait. Natalia’s struggle with her faith, and Olivia’s uncharacteristic selflessness (let’s face it people, Olivia’s always been a self-serving manipulative bitch) proved that love is never predictable. Olivia and Natalia may be now sorting out their feelings, but the rest of us know that we want some happily ever after for Otalia! It’s a shame that Guiding Light stepped up it’s game right before the curtains came tumbling down. Had GL focused on such a natural, realistic love story (NO MATTER THE SEX) rather than gimmicks then the doom of cancellation could’ve been avoided. At least we have a few more months to root for a happy ending for Otalia!!!

P.S. Kudos to having Guiding Light’s in the closet lesbian mayor, Doris, volunteer to officiate at the wedding…as she egged Olivia on to stop it from happening!

Daytime Lesbian Supercouple Wedding Bells

February 10, 2009

Be sure to tune in to All My Children this week where we are treated to daytime’s first lesbian wedding! Super hot couple Bianca and Reese walk down the aisle amongst family and friends. Soap Opera Digest is celebrating this momentous occasion by featuring our favorite girls on this weeks cover! Let’s enjoy daytime’s premier lesbian couple while we can folks! Words out that Eden Reigel (Bianca) will not be resigning with the show when her contract expires this Spring, leaving Reese all to her lonesome! Will the show recast Bianca? Is this why Reese has been exploring her bisexual tendencies with Zach? We’ll have to wait and see. Until then, I’ll be see ya’ll at the wedding!

Lesbian Supercouple Hitting Daytime

September 22, 2008

Watch out Luke and Noah, there’s another queer couple hitting daytime! All My Children is bringing back Eden Reigel to reclaim her role as daytime’s first lesbian diva, Bianca Montgomery. If that wasn’t enough AMC has lured daytime fan favorite Tamara Braun (ex-Carly from General Hospital, ex-Ava from Days of our Lives) to play Bianca’s girlfriend!!!! The dish is that Bianca returns from her sabbatical in France, with new girlfriend Reese joining her a few weeks later! Now in the past AMC never shied away from showcasing Bianca with her girlfriends (hugging, kissing, in bed), so more of the same should be expected. Lets hope As the World Turns steps up their game (Luke and Noah have kissed like twice u swear!!!!) now that their gaytime throne has been challenged!
