I’m so glad Rachel did her research, put it in perspective, and proved the point that we’re all responsible for what we say and that those words have consequences.

What a tool this guy is – never admits a connection, never apologizes, and will probably continue to be in denial that the crap he writes will literally get gays and lesbians assaulted, if not killed, both in Uganda AND places where being gay ISN’T illegal.

I also worry about what this does to gays/lesbians from a mental health standpoint. It’s a scary world when we have to always wonder if people think we are predators – if we are constant suspects and points of unfair bias. I feel this way ESPECIALLY as an identified gay man. This stigma runs deep, and books like the ones he spews help cut harder.

I’m soooo glad we have some gay Rhodes scholars outing guys like this on television. Smart is sexy – Rachel Maddow – YOU GO!
