I told you about ‘My Fellow Americans,’ the modern performance piece about Ronald Reagan by Peter Carpenter a while ago, as it was supposed to debut in May. Unfortunate delays now wrapped up, October 8,9, 15 and 16 will be special nights in Chicago as the show will go on as originally intended. My Fellow Americans will be performed at Hamlin Park Studio Theater located at 3035 N. Hoyne-2nd floor, Chicago. From the press release: Carpenter’s gift for deftly weaving movement and text shines in this work which explores the shifting identity of Ronald Reagan from the perspectives of the “special interest groups” that his rhetoric and policies consistently admonished.
