Now in its 3rd year, Atanta Georgia’s Mondo Homo is bigger and better than ever. It is, after all, “The South’s queer art, spoken word, dance party, hip-hop-electro clash, politics, film, BBQ, circus arts, theater, music, burlesque, social action diversity-lovin’ festival of fun queer space.” I’ve been a mid-westerner all my life, but something tells me the South needs more fests like this. Happening May 21st through 25th, this is looking to be your next Spring Gaycation. AND, the new press release says they have booked none other than Justin Bond! He hardly tours, so this is extra-special and the South will never be the same again! With dance parties galore, I’d be there with some southern fried okra niblets and a mint julep or three.
