Eightmaps.com

It’s been generating quite a stir, and for good reason. Eightmaps.com is a website that is using the internet age to make information more accessible, and some people don’t like it. Specifically, what eightmaps does is use disclosure laws about political donations (in this case, Prop 8 contributions) and puts the names and zip codes of the people/businesses that did so on a google map. Some are opposed to what eightmaps does because it opens up individuals to harassment from others with a different opinion on the matter. TPR says that you should be held accountable for your political contributions; I want to know if a co-worker who is nice to my face is working against my civil liberties in private.

  1. “TPR says that you should be held accountable for your political contributions”

You will also be held responsible for the results of your fascism.

    • why would you want this private, “rob?” shame or fear?
