PBS IS GAY

Is it wrong to want to be in a doc about Chicago’s gay life? I mean, this is the smallest town in a big city, and, like, I go out and stuff. But the trailer for WTTW’s “Out & Proud in Chicago” is more about the history, and not the, ahem, present. The program goes back to Jane Adams, the first Pride March and the first Gay Help Hot line! You can even get a glimpse of how unintelligible our mayor is. In what is a historic kick off to Pride Month, this is the first time I’ve ever wished I had a DVR. The doc premiere Tuesday, June 3rd at 7:30 and is hosted by Jane Lynch.

Update: I’m watching it and they have been over at (uptight gay bar) Sidetracks during the breaks. SO SQUARE! (Also, there was no mention of the Dyke March, more on that later.) There will be rebroadcasts all week, check the website for more info.
